THE SACRED

A collection of sculptural Christian stoneware rooted in the sacred traditions of ancient Christianity. Individually formed by hand, each work bears the marks of its making and the enduring language of faith.

THE SACRED is a collection of handmade Christian pottery and sculptural stoneware by DOM VECHERA, drawing upon the artistic, liturgical, and devotional traditions of Eastern Orthodox Christianity.

Each work is individually formed by hand, embracing the irregularities of clay, ancient forms, and the character of the material. Inscriptions drawn from Greek, Church Slavonic, Russian, and other historic Christian traditions reflect the enduring language of prayer, Scripture, and sacred art.

Created for the Christian home, these objects bring together ancient Christian heritage and contemporary sculptural craftsmanship. From vessels bearing sacred inscriptions to singular devotional works, THE SACRED explores the relationship between material, faith, and the handmade object.
