I shape each work individually in stoneware, drawn to primitive forms, archaeological surfaces, and the visible marks of the hand.
My Orthodox Christian faith is at the center of the work. Prayers, liturgical words, crosses, and sacred inscriptions are cut into the clay by hand, becoming part of the object itself.
I am drawn to the austerity of ancient Christianity, to objects shaped for prayer, devotion, and remembrance rather than ornament alone.
THE SACRED is an ongoing body of work rooted in this tradition: black stoneware made slowly, individually, and with the irregularities of the hand left visible.
