The Journal

Today, I began sculpting an Orthodox incense holder inscribed with “Let my prayer arise.” Still in wet clay, its rough surfaces and ancient character reflect the forms I am drawn to create.

The Jesus Prayer is part of my morning, evening, and the hours between. Carved into this vase, its words offer a simple reminder to pause, remember Christ, and pray.

Excerpt: A few pieces from my newest sacred collection are drying in the studio. While they prepare for the kiln, I am planning works for Nativity and Pascha.
