Tomorrow, I will gather with the other catechumens at my parish to receive exorcism prayers, an ancient part of our preparation for baptism, followed by worship, fellowship, and continued learning.

Chanting the Psalter has become part of my daily prayer rule. Right now, I am learning “The Lord is my Shepherd” in Russian chant, and taking those words outside with the morning light.

This morning, with my coffee, I opened the Synaxarion to the lives of Eulampius and Eulampia, a reminder of what Father Seraphim calls “the Gospel in action.”
